Kenneth Brian Mehlman is an American lawyer who became chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2005 to 2007. Ken Mehlman is the son of Judith A. And Arthur S. Mehlman Mehlman, director and previously a partner at KPMG MuniMae, he served as head of corporate audit department in the Baltimore / Washington area.
Ken Mehlman continued with the government in cooperation with the 62 heads of the Republican National Committee (RNC) and s campaign manager for re-election of President George W. Bush, in 2004. As RNC chairman, Ken Mehlman helped emphasize the need to reach out to Hispanic Americans and African society. This includes historic speech at the National Council of LaRaza, NAACP, and the League of Latin American Citizens. During President George W. Bush ‘s first term, Ken Mehlman served in high level positions in Congress and the White House and the White House political director during the term of the President.
Ken Mehlman is a trustee of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Franklin & Marshall College, and the National Endowment for Democracy. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Senior Advisory Committee of the Harvard University Institute of Politics and the executive leadership cabinet of Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Foundation.
