Have You Seen Reservoir Dogs?
It can be debated whether or not Reservoir Dogs is an action movie or not, but I think that’s irrelevant. If it’s entertaining, then it doesn’t matter how it’s classified. And for the record, I think it’s an action movie. There might have been a lot of talking in the diner, which was an awesome scene by the way, but once they get to that warehouse things really start to heat up. Some might consider the action in this movie more like gratuitous violence, but I don’t see it that way. They were trying to capture the nature of these characters, and since they were gangsters that were all trying to look out for themselves once things went wrong, it was accurate representation.
Only Quentin Tarantino could come up with such a sick and twisted plot. All these gangsters that don’t know one another come together to pull of the perfect heist. The only problem is that there’s an undercover cop amongst them. Once they find out there’s a rat, no one trusts the next guy. This leads to some very intense scenes. You can feel your pulse race as you watch some of these scenes play out, especially the one with Buscemi and Keitel in the bathroom. If you liked Pulp Fiction, or any other Tarantino movie for that matter, you will love Reservoir Dogs. I caught it on DirectTV last night for the first time. I’m glad I was home to see it.
